Black Forest Trail Running, located in Freiburg in Breisgau, welcomes all runners, who would like to explore the trails around Freiburg, in the Black Forest and at the Kaiserstuhl.
You will relax as soon as you have contacted us. You let us know your level of fitness, the time that you have available for running, and the area you would like to explore ... and we - as your trail guides - will take care of the details.
Freiburg, located right at the edge of the Black Forest, offers an incredible number and variaty of trails for all training levels, from the novice to the pro.One step inside and you hit the trails, loops or point to point sections of up to 40 k that we will guide you on at a comfortable pace.
The course may pass by Wasserschlössle and end at Kanonenplatz just above the town of Freiburg. It also could lead along the Dreisam, Freiburg’s nice creek. Longer routes may bring us to Kandel, Feldberg, Schauinsland or Belchen, all famous peaks of this region and beyond 3000 ft. of altitude. Some participants may use the running for relaxing and exploring, others may use it as preparation for mountain marathons like the Swiss Jungfrau Marathon or even multiple stage races like the Trans Alpine Run®(TAR).
During those runs advice will be provided regarding (race related) nutrition, equipment, training and racing … and if interested in further support, we will be more than happy to offer privat training cut to individual needs, also for women only groups, company running groups or athletes from team sports.
Furthermore, should you be interested in nordic walking or guided mountain bike tours or sightseeing tours by bicycle, check out the category partners.
In Winter we offer, besides trail running, snowshoeing and cross country skiing on the loops of Notschrei, in Hinterzarten and at Thurner.
A shuttle service may bring us to trails outside of Freiburg, i.e. at the Kaiserstuhl or in Berner Oberland, Switzerland. If required we can also provide a photo service.
Feel free to contact us with your own ideas. We will try to accommodate those.
